Cards are a mechanic in Devil Children Fire Book and Ice Book. They are consumable items which can be used in battle to unleash a variety of effects, replacing Power Units from previous games.
Overview
At the start of a turn, the player can choose to activate a Card instead of issuing commands to Demons. Card effects last throughout the whole battle, but may fail on Demons afflicted by status conditions that prevent them from acting. Once a Card has been activated, the player cannot activate a new Card for the remainder of the battle.
