Weiß Schwarz is a Japanese Trading Card Game developed by Bushiroad and whose main draw is its official collaborations with various media, where each set features licensed characters and scenes from various anime, video games, and movies. The game launched in March 2008 with the simultaneous release of the Little Busters! and Da Capo Trial Decks.[1] The first English edition had its initial release with the Disgaea: Hour of Darkness Starter Deck in May of 2009, but didn't see another entry until the 30th of June, 2012, when the Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Fate/Zero Starter Decks were released.[2][3] Weiß Schwarz has had multiple sets collaborating with the Megami Tensei franchise, with the Persona 3 set being the third set ever released, and the first set belonging to the Schwarz side.[4]
