Awakened Persona is a recurring mechanic in the Persona series, where a party member's unique Persona transforms into another, stronger entity.
The terminology for the transformation process and the transformed Persona differs across entries. In Megami Ibunroku Persona, the entities are referred to as the Strongest Personas. In Persona 2: Innocent Sin, they are called True Personas. In Persona 3 Reload, the process is referred to as awakening.[1] In Persona 4, they are called Awakened Personas[2] in a process referred to as transfiguring.[3] In Persona 5, they are called Evolution Persona[4] in a process referred to as transformation.[5]
