Thrill is a character in the Devil Summoner series.
Profile
Thrill was a test-tube baby born as part of a genetic experiment in the Soviet Union, in which a fertilized egg was imbued with the genes of a genius. After the Soviet Union's collapse, Thrill moved to the Kansai region in Japan, and he was able to fluently speak the Kansai dialect within days.[1]

Dr. Thrill is mentioned by name, being stated to have created the shaved ice subspecies of Jack Frosts that exist, such as Blue Hawaii Frost.[2]
Trivia
- His design is presumed to be based on Mr. Bater, a character played by comedian Hitoshi Matsumoto.[3]
Nomenclature
Doctor Thrill is named after a line from the music video for MC Hammer's "2 Legit 2 Quit", where James Brown (misremembered as Bobby Brown by Kazuma Kaneko) says Michael Jackson "thrilled" the audience (in reference to the song "Thriller"). Coincidentally, Dr. Thrill is also the name of an Osamu Tezuka character.[4]

It was actually based on an MC Hammer video where Bobby Brown shows up and says Michael Jackson thrilled him. It was about “Thriller”, but I figured “Doctor Thrill” sounded good.
