Purpose

Maintenance template used to mark pages that are using "you" or improper usage of "the player" in its content. This adds the page to Category:Pages with an improper style or tone.

As per the writing style guidelines, pages must be written in an in-universe perspective and avoid instances of breaking the fourth wall. I.e. the use of "you" and "the player" must be avoided in writing and playable characters must instead be referred to by their name or title. There are certain exceptions where "the player" may be preferable for pages/sections that detail out-of-universe information, such as the mechanics of a gameplay system. In these cases, "the player" or "players" must be used over "you".
