Template:Cite Game
Purpose
Citation template used to cite references from video game media.
Usage
Citation templates must be enclosed in <ref></ref> tags in order to be properly displayed and sorted. Pages will also need a ==References== section with Template:Reflist. This section must be placed near the bottom of the page, before any navigation templates and categories. For more information on citing references and using citation templates, consult the citations guidelines.
Citation templates include several parameters for citing certain kinds of information pertaining to the source. Some parameters may be required and must be filled, while others may only be highly recommended or are optional.

| title | The title of the video game. Use Template:Link to link to the video game using its media abbreviation. | Required |

| publisher | The publisher of the video game. | Optional |
| platform | The gaming platform the video game was released for. This parameter should be used if the quoted text is specific to a certain platform version of the game. If a version of a game was released as multi-platform, this parameter should instead specify the year date the version came out in. Format as: 2022 re-release.

| version | The version number or name of the video game. This parameter should be used if the quoted text is specific to a certain version of the game. Format as: 1.0.

| lang | The language the video game is in. This parameter should be used when citing non-English quotes. | Optional |
| transl | The source of the text's translation. This parameter must be used if the quoted text is sourced from a fan translation. Add just the name of the translator or group, and link to their page if there is one. For example: [[Aeon Genesis]], [[Translator Tom]].
