Profile

Origin

The olgoi-khorkhoi[a] (lit. "large-intestine worm"), known as the Mongolian death worm among cryptozoological circles, is a worm-like creature purported to live in the Gobi Desert of Mongolia. It was popularized among western cryptozoologists by paleontologist Roy Chapman Andrews' 1926 book On the Trail of Ancient Man. Andrews claimed that the Premier of Mongolia asked him to capture an allergorhai-horhai during his expedition in the Gobi Desert, and that it was described to him as a two-foot-long sausage-shaped creature with no head or legs that was so poisonous that even touching it resulted in instant death.[1]
