In Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon Jorougumo received a new design similar to that of Arachne, having the body of a spider with the spider's thorax merging with the armless body of woman. The back and sides of her body are covered in the spiders carapace and the front being that of a pale skinned woman, which is completely exposed from the neck down to her waist and and entirely human head. She is differentiated from Arachne by her spider carapace being a dull yellow , her human body having blue skin, and having long messy hair.

|
A spider demon from Japanese lore, this water spirit is said to live inside ponds or waterfalls.
She hunts for humans by waiting near the water's edge, using her web to drag prey underwater.

Game Appearances
Jorougumo appears at the end of the Ritual of Battle in the prologue. She at first presents herself as Raidou's new ally, much to the disgust of Gouto and Tam Lin, and attempts to goad the summoner into getting closer to her, but this is exposed as a ruse by Alraune, who appears in time to tell them that she is the actual demon sent to be Raidou's second ally for the ritual, not Jorougumo. Slightly disappointed that her attempt at deception was foiled, Jorougumo reveals that she is the final test for Raidou and, having become infatuated with him, says she will not go easy on him to keep him for herself. When defeated, she remarks that not only his looks, but also his power, are impressive, and claims the threads of love have bound her before exploding.

Trivia
- Jorougumo has artwork drawn for Shin Megami Tensei, but she was ultimately rejected and does not appear in the game. Her artwork (with the spider removed) was used as a basis for the Amaterasu sprite in the Super CD-ROM² version of the game.
