Kintaro or Kintoki-Douji is the childhood name of Sakata no Kintoki. As a boy, he was said to have superhuman-like strength, wielded an axe, and wore a red apron with the character 金 (the "Kin" in Kintaro and Kintoki, meaning gold) on it. In some stories, he wrestles with bears.
