BattleNet
BattleNet is an optional game mode in the Devil Children series.
Overview
It is an optional game mode where the protagonist faces off against a series of opponents in battles that are of much higher difficulty than in the game's main quest.
Opponents are divided in Classes of increasing difficulty that are unlocked either via progress in the main quest or by fulfilling some other condition that varies by game. Once a Class has been unlocked, the protagonist may challenge any opponent present in it.
The opponents faced in these battles can be major of minor characters from the Devil Children series, as well as cameos from characters of other Megami Tensei series, mainly Persona and Devil Summoner. For games released in two versions, some opponents may also be version-exclusive.
After an opponent has been defeated, they will update their party with a stronger set of demons. How many victories it takes for an opponent to update their team, and how many times the team may be updated varies from game to game.
The protagonist's demon Partner cannot be entered into BattleNet.

BattleNet becomes available once the protagonist arrives at Sand Land.
There is a total of three Classes available to challenge, with the PlayStation remake adding two more. In the remake, the three original Classes are grouped together under the name of N-Cup, while the new classes are grouped under the name of P-Cup.
When a P-Cup opponent is defeated for the first time, they will give the protagonist a demon. Some new demons added in the remake can only be obtained via this method, but some opponents will reward regular demons with custom skills and stats higher than their base forms. Each prize may only be received once.
Opponents will upgrade their teams after being defeated once, up to two times.
