Black Knight is a Demon from Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei and it's Kyūyaku Megami Tensei remake.
Origin
The Black Knight is a literary stock character who masks his identity and that of his liege by not displaying heraldry. Often portrayed as antagonistic figures who commit misdeeds. The character was often associated with darkness or death.
Despite this, his official entry for Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei states that the Black Knight is a suit of armor that was being haunted by a spiteful spirit. With fighting those amongst the living being his only reason to live.
Design
In both the official artwork and in-game sprite from Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei, it ironically has Green armor. The demon shares the same sprite as Cu Chulainn. In Kyūyaku Megami Tensei, the suit is a darker purple, fitting the "Black Knight" title.
