Purpose

Used to create tables for documenting skill mechanics in the Effect section on Skill Pages, using both a header template and multiple row templates. Template:Skill Effect/Header is placed at the top of the table, and the table must be closed by appending |} on the following line.

Usage

For fields that are not applicable to an iteration of the skill, omit the parameter from the template. This will add an em dash in its place.

Parameter Description
1 The game for which the skill data is for.
2 The name of the skill. Note that in some cases it may differ from the in-game name, i.e. Freikugel EX Wargod for the Wargod-exclusive variant of Freikugel EX in Shin Megami Tensei V.

Known Errors

A variety of errors or missing information can occur when using Skill Effect.

Unsupported titles

Skill Effect does not support any titles without a relevant skill data module, as well as Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation Dx2. Attempting to use Skill Effect with the former will produce a Lua error, while attempting to use Skill Effect with Dx2 will produce garbage data.

Missing data

Any missing or improperly entered data from the skill data table will be unavailable or potentially false when using Skill Effect. To fix this, it is recommended to manually add such information to the skill data table. For more information, view the guidelines on modules.
