Baton Pass is a mechanic introduced in Persona 5 which allowed a turn to be passed to another character, similar to half turns in the Press Turn System. It was originally unlocked individually with progression in each party member's confidant, but became unlocked by default in Persona 5 Royal. It returns in Persona 3 Reload under the name Shift.
