Profile
Origin
Sabaoth (Greek: Σαβαώθ Sabaṓth) is the hellenized form of the Hebrew word for "armies" (Hebrew: צְבָאוֹת), and its use here is a shortened form of YHVH Sabaoth, an epithet applied to YHVH in the Bible that is conventionally translated into English as "the Lord of hosts."
