Summary
Nanashi accepts a Challenge Quest titled "Coastal Inverted Pyramid" which attributes the recent disappearance of several women to an area near Tokyo Bay. After getting ready, he visits Asahi's room to see her only to be met with her roommate. He inquires about her whereabouts, to which her roommate replies in confusion as she had thought Asahi was with him since she has not been around recently. With this in mind, Nanashi decides to deal with the quest on his own.
Nanashi receives a letter from a client named Mephistopheles, inviting the boy to visit the client's island and enjoy life there. Upon accepting the letter's terms, Mephisto appears, promising to fulfill the hospitality promised in the letter whilst claiming it is what Nanashi's heart desires. He also provides Nanashi a way to leave: utter the phrase "Stay, thou art so beautiful." and the demon will come back to receive his payment for his services. Nanashi can say this exit phrase at certain points of the story; if he does, the demon will come back to claim his payment. <!-- {ok i feel like there has to be an easier way to bring up the exit phrase thing because Nanashi can invoke it every time he is given a choice} -->

Once he arrives at the location, he notices the building's inverted shape and the roses planted everywhere. Upon closer inspection of the roses' roots, he discovers numerous dried-out bodies wrapped in bandages—mummies. Dagda clarifies that the roses appear to be blooming from the mummified remains. Nanashi continues on and enters the building, discovering more mummies inside. While he cannot discern most of the details on the bodies in their covered state, he does notice that each body is missing a different body part. Dagda comments curiously as to why they are lacking specific parts.
Mephisto then asks Nanashi to form a contract with him. Nanashi can say the exit phrase at this point, to which Mephisto will be amused at the boy's impatience then attacks him. If he instead accepts the contract, Mephisto will fulfill his end of the bargain, sending Nanashi to the island of Hawaii.

Then, a familiar voice cries out for help. Nanashi follows the voice to its location, finding Asahi bound similarly to the mummies. Once freed by him, she tears up once she recognizes Nanashi as her rescuer. However, a horde of Egyptian demons suddenly appear as a melodic voice rings out from afar. This voice explains that she needs Asahi to complete her return to the world and become a new god, seeing the young girl as hers. Asahi is annoyed at the insinuation, but one of the demons in the horde points to the number 1465 cut into her thigh, marking her as a part. Coincidentally, she happens to be the last part needed to revive their queen. The horde then attacks Nanashi, who defeats them.
Meeting with the others
Nanashi awakens on the white sands of a Hawaiian beach to the sound of Hallelujah's voice, confused to find himself wearing swimming trunks. Hallelujah throws him a water bottle and reminds him to stay hydrated as the sun is quite bright, before admitting the advice came from a surprisingly thoughtful Gaston. Said man arrives to question why Hallelujah finds his kindness odd then reveals he had gone out of his way to find the water. He asks to be thanked for his work, to which Hallelujah obliges. An unfamiliar man comes by to tease Gaston, revealed to be Navarre as a human.

The melodic voice, now identifiable as Cleopatra, mourns her incomplete revival but believes she has no other choice. Smoke builds around a mummy at the farthest reaches of the room before entering its mouth and rising on its own: the new body of Cleopatra. She quickly approaches Nanashi, introducing herself as the new pharaoh and unifier of deities, but her empowering yet wicked aura unsettles him and Asahi. Cleopatra then explains that she came back to lead the people and bring peace to the world, but she needs Asahi's nose to complete her revival. Asahi is flustered as to why the woman would want her nose and asks Nanashi to confirm that it is a normal nose. Regardless of how Nanashi replies, Cleopatra could not care for their worries, instead clarifying that her new body must be one fit for a god who are the essence of beauty. She asks Nanashi to hand over Asahi, but whether or not Nanashi complies, Asahi will not accept being handed over. With her demands not met, Cleopatra faces Nanashi in battle.
Suddenly, Asahi runs up towards Nanashi, catching the guys off guard with her approach. She asks Nanashi about how her swimsuit looks, but Navarre compliments her instead. Creeped out by what looks to be a stranger commenting on her appearance, she hides behind Nanashi and asks who Navarre is, offending the man. Toki and Nozomi arrive afterwards, with the young girl shyly hiding behind the older woman, self-conscious about her appearance. Nozomi tries to encourage Toki to stop hiding and reassures her that there is nothing to be embarrassed about. However, Toki firmly remains hidden from view, leading to Nozomi stepping aside and pushing her forward. Toki attempts to hide once more by turning her body away, but gives up and instead asks Nanashi how she looks, just as Gaston and Navarre collapse from her cute appearance. <!-- {i hate this dlc bruh} --> Nozomi then turns to Nanashi and asks him which swimsuit he prefers the most from the girls, citing each of their charm points. Nanashi can either invoke Mephisto by speaking the exit phrase or choose between the three. The one chosen will invite him to swim with them.

When Nanashi defeats her, Cleopatra laments her loss as she had wished to save this world's people even at the cost of her life. Asahi responds to her claim by saying that someone who sacrifices others for parts could never save anyone, but Cleopatra does not heed her answer. Instead, the woman decides that losing to the two would be a worse fate then kills herself.
Swimming
Nanashi watches as Asahi and Nozomi splash each other with water, with a stray splash from Asahi hitting Toki in the face. Asahi apologizes for the accidental hit, but Toki retaliates by tackling the other girl into the water. Mephisto appears and asks if Nanashi is having fun; here, Nanashi can say the exit phrase to leave or he can indulge the demon by affirming he is enjoying his time on the island. If he chooses the latter response, Mephisto will vanish, amused to hear Nanashi is having fun.

After the battle, Dagda remarks that Cleopatra was too absorbed by her desire for beauty and reminds Nanashi to not lose sight of what he should protect in the way she did. Though, he observes that this should not be a problem for Nanashi right as Asahi hugs him from behind and thanks him profusely for coming to her rescue. The two leave together after Nanashi reports the quest as completed.
Smashing a watermelon
Nanashi finds himself blindfolded and holding what feels like a stick. He can hear the others cheering him on and directing him on where to move. Toki tells him to swing straight down and Nanashi can choose to comply or refuse by saying the exit phrase. If he complies, he smashes something hard on the ground, which is revealed to be a watermelon upon removing the blindfold. Everyone is happy to see the watermelon split. Mephisto visits Nanashi once more, asking the same question; again, Nanashi can either reply with the exit phrase or affirm his enjoyment. If he chooses the latter response, the demon will vanish again.

Upon completion of this challenge quest, Cleopatra is unlocked for fusion.
Beach Volleyball
Asahi calls out to Nanashi to pass a beach ball that lands by his feet, to which he can either pick it up, kick it into the air, or say the exit phrase to leave. Whether he kicks the ball or snags it, the ball floats towards the sea, causing Nanashi to go after it. All the while, Gaston and Navarre boast about performing well, but Hallelujah points out that neither of them have played volleyball before. Navarre is affronted by Hallelujah's dubious address of him, believing the younger boy to cower in the face of his majesty, but Toki interrupts him to quash his assumptions. Mephisto reappears and poses the same question to Nanashi; again, Nanashi can either reply with the exit phrase or affirm his enjoyment. If he chooses the latter response, the demon will vanish again.

<!-- {i was using "goddess" at first instead of "woman" but it reads weirdly. technically, in 4a, cleopatra is under the megami race so she would be a goddess but she is never referred to as a goddess in the text explicitly (but implicilty i guess...). and considering her origins too... idk} -->
