The Dark Hour (影時間, Kage-jikan) is a phenomenon occurring in Persona 3.
Profile
In 1999 following an explosion on Tatsumi Port Island, the Dark Hour occurred for the first time and Tartarus appeared.
The Dark Hour is a thirteenth hour to every day only accessible by people with the 'Potential' to summon a persona. In between 11:59PM and 12:00AM[1] the world is engulfed in green lighting and everyone without the potential is transmogrified into a coffin. Shadows begin roam all over the world and Gekkoukan High School transforms into the high tower Tartarus. When the Dark Hour ends each night, people without a Persona or the potential lose all memories related to the Dark Hour.
