Origin
Bugaboo is an alternate name for the Bogeyman, a mythical creature from folklore in various European countries used by parents to scare their children into having good behavior or being more obedient. The Bogeyman has since evolved and been incorporated into many more cultures, such as the Sack Man in Latin American countries and El Coco in Spain and Portugal.
Design
Bugaboo appears as a squatting devil with small wings and a tail. It has black skin largely covered in dark red mummy wrap and has long, sharp nails on both its hands and feet.
