Profile
Mayumi is a second-year student in high school and once dreamed of being a race car driver, but gave up due to health-related reasons. She often plays auto racing arcade games at Gigolo Arcade in Akihabara, and gets to know the protagonist there. With the help of the protagonist, Mayumi has a new goal of becoming a race queen to promote auto racing.

Nomenclature
The surname Hashimoto means "base of a bridge". The given name Mayumi comes from the Japanese word 真弓 mayumi, literally meaning "(archery) beautiful bow", also referring to Euonymus hamiltonianus, the Hamilton's spindletree, because of the use of its wood in the fabrication of bows. The codename Turbo is a reference to the turbine-powered air compressors used in Diesel-fueled race car engines.
