To use this page type's boilerplate, select "Stage" under "Content". This page type is used for stages in certain Megami Tensei games. These include, for example: battle stages found in strategy RPGs like Majin Tensei and Devil Survivor; as well as puzzle and platformer stages such as those in Jack Bros. and Shin Megami Tensei: Synchronicity Prologue.

Category:Stages is included in the boilerplate as a placeholder category; this should be replaced by specific Stages in Media Title subcategories where possible, as per the categories guidelines. The Stages category is only intended to list the specific subcategories.

Section Explanation
Overview
An overview of the stage. This can include criteria of when the stage becomes available; the task given to the protagonist or party; details of the stage's progression; gameplay mechanics associated with the stage; as well as story developments that occur during the stage. Overviews should not be written in a walkthrough or strategy guide-like tone, but instead present gameplay-related information as matter-of-fact.
Gameplay
The Gameplay section details essential information relevant to the stage that is not already covered in Overview. The coverage of this section will largely depend on the needs of the source game and the extent of information needing to be covered. The following subsections are, therefore, only a general suggestion. Other stages may require different subsections not in the boilerplate to suit their needs.
  • Information — For documenting any in-game data and/or descriptions. For strategy RPGs, this can include a table documenting win and lose conditions.
  • Enemies — For documenting any enemies that appear in the stage. For strategy RPGs, this can include a table documenting enemy units or troops encountered in the stage.
  • Items — For documenting any items that can be found or received within the stage, not including shop stock or items randomly dropped from enemies. Use Template:Items to list items and their location.
