Template:Softredirect/Documentation

Purpose

Notice template used to inform readers and editors that a page or section exists as a soft redirect to avoid accidentally spoiling without warning, as opposed to redirecting the subject name to a page with immediate spoilers. The template in turn links back to the "main" page for further, complete reading. This practice typically applies to alternate identities or forms of characters or locations. Pages that are soft redirects should only cover what is pertinent to that subject and avoid anything outside of that scope that would be spoilery.

Usage

Parameter	Description
section	Must be given a value (such as "1" or "y") to display. Changes header to denote a section.
link	Links to the full page or section that contains complete, spoilery information. This must be the page name itself without brackets.
