The Aura Gate is a gameplay mode in Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation Dx2. It is a first-person dungeon crawler. It is split between 3 worlds, Aura Gate, Hollow World, and Aura Gate SP.

Gameplay

Aura Gate is in first person with directional buttons for movement. Dx2s can negotiate with and gain new demons, and find items in chests.

There are glowing "Gatekeeper" enemies with very high HP which can be found. They are damage sponges, the player gets a higher score the more damage they land.

Dungeons

Aura Gate

Aura Gate is a 50 floor dungeon. It is procedurally generated and becomes unavailable for 5 minutes hourly to regenerate floors. A boss is at the end of each floor

Hollow World

Originally known as Aura Gate 2. Unlike Aura Gate, the dungeons in Hollow World are not randomly generated and are all predetermined. It is a world inhabited by a race called the "Hollows"

Aura Gate SP

Has just one floor and is exclusive to events. Can be used for XP grinding
