This page details the negotiation process in the Devil Children series.
Overview
Negotiation is not performed by the protagonist, but rather by a demon ally of the player's choice. The outcome of the negotiation is entirely random, but a set of factors inherent to the two demons involved will positively or negatively affect the outcome.
It is also possible, if negotiation fails, for another party member to insert themselves in the negotiation and try again.
As a result of negotiation, the enemy demon will either: join the protagonist, attack the party, hand out an item, hand out Macca, fully heal the demon performing the negotiation, or escape.
Mechanics

The following factors affect the negotiation outcome: Class, Type, and Race.

Now, when selecting which demon to negotiate, the protagonist may now instruct their demon with how to approach negotiation. There are a total of eight different approaches, of which a random two will be selected. Depending on the target demon's speech pattern, certain approaches may positively or negatively impact the chances of success. Alternatively, certain approaches may yield a neutral result.
