==Overview==
One piece of background music inside the game's files goes unused in the final version of the game. The ''Complete Recording Edition'' release of the soundtrack gives that track the name of "Time Count Event."
Negotiation is not performed by the protagonist, but rather by a demon ally of the player's choice. The outcome of the negotiation is entirely random, but a set of factors inherent to the two demons involved will positively or negatively affect the outcome.

==Locations==
It is also possible, if negotiation fails, for another party member to insert themselves in the negotiation and try again.
The image texture for the nameplates inside of St. Hermelin High School shows the names of several rooms that are not present in the final version of the game.

As a result of negotiation, the enemy demon will either: join the protagonist, attack the party, hand out an item, hand out Macca, fully heal the demon performing the negotiation, or escape.

==Demons==
====Type====
There is data of two unused demons in the game's files: Shikijirou and [[Nyarlathotep]]. The both of them have 0 in all of their stats, but while Shikijirou has no skills, Nyarlathotep has two: Fog Breath and Stone Claw.
Each demon in-game belongs to one of the following Types: Fire, Water, Earth, Metal, Wood, Sun, and Moon.

==Skills==
====Race====
There is a multitude of unused skills, the majority of them having the placeholder description of "Boss-only spell" and a fire element icon. It is possible to add them to the skill list of a Persona via cheating, but most of them will softlock the game when used in battle; the character's Persona will perform its summoning animation, but no effect will play and the game will be stuck. This behavior is not caused by any sort of incomplete data due to the skills being unused, as actual boss-exclusive skills present in the final game will also cause the same effect.
Each demon in-game belongs to one of the following races: God, Devil, Divine, Ogre, Specter, Draco, Yoma, Mutant, Beast, and Boss. The latter two don't belong to any demon that can be encountered via random encounter.

The skill "B," whose Japanese name translates to "Hereafter Freeze," will freeze the game not by being used but just by having its name be seen on-screen in any menu.
Each Race has a set of three "disliked" races, so attempting to negotiate with them using a demon that belongs to one of those races will negatively impact the chances of negotiation.

This page details the negotiation process in the Devil Children series.

Overview

Negotiation is not performed by the protagonist, but rather by a demon ally of the player's choice. The outcome of the negotiation is entirely random, but a set of factors inherent to the two demons involved will positively or negatively affect the outcome.

It is also possible, if negotiation fails, for another party member to insert themselves in the negotiation and try again.

As a result of negotiation, the enemy demon will either: join the protagonist, attack the party, hand out an item, hand out Macca, fully heal the demon performing the negotiation, or escape.

White Book

Negotiations mechanics are mostly unchanged from Black Book & Red Book, with one new element added.

Now, when selecting which demon to negotiate, the protagonist may now instruct their demon with how to approach negotiation. There are a total of eight different approaches, of which a random two will be selected. Depending on the target demon's speech pattern, certain approaches may positively or negatively impact the chances of success. Alternatively, certain approaches may yield a neutral result.
