In the Devil Children manga, Angel Children are not Angel-human hybrids, but artificial beings crafted by the Angel Army who serve to conquer Makai. They are able to draw out the life force, memories, and judgment of living beings, and can live for extended periods of time as long as their human vessels are preserved.
