Template:Softredirect/Documentation

Purpose

Notice template used to inform readers and editors that a page or section exists as a soft redirect to avoid accidentally spoiling without warning, as opposed to redirecting the page name to its intended target which would immediately spoil. This practice typically applies to alternate identities of characters or other forms of locations. Pages that are soft redirects should only cover the subject it is relevant to, i.e. the singular identity or form of a subject.

Usage

Parameter	Description
section	Must be given a value (such as "1" or "y") to display. Changes header to denote a section.
link	Links to the full page or section that contains complete, spoilery information. This must be the page name itself without brackets.
