Purpose

Maintenance template used to tag statements in articles that have an unclear or improper attribution and are in need of a credible source. This template should be used to tag statements that do not name an identifiable person or group that verify the statement's integrity. Such claims may be using weasel words to create the false impression of a specific statement when, in actuality, it is ambiguous. For example: "Some people say...", "experts...", "it is said...", etc. This template adds the page to Category:Pages needing clarification.

This template should be placed after the unclear statement, immediately following any punctuation.
