The Fox is a character in Persona 4.
Profile
The fox lives on the shrine grounds of Tatsuhime Shrine. It enlists the protagonist's help in fulfilling wishes written on wooden ema tablets that have been hung up at the shrine. Starting with the Steamy Bathhouse, the fox also joins the Investigation Team in the TV World and can be paid to restore the party's SP with special leaves in the studio-looking area.
The fox is designed as a normal fox wearing a red apron with a heart pattern. Red aprons are commonly found on Jizo statues and fox statues at Japanese shrines due to the belief that red can ward away evil spirits. Culturally, foxes are said to be the messengers of Inari, and the presence of the fox statues at Tatsuhime Shrine suggest the sub-shrine is dedicated to Inari.
