Hibakara is the name of a statue at Kofuku-ji, a Buddhist temple in Japan, among a collection entitled "The Eight Kinds of Mythological Beings." It is a term unique to this statue that does not appear elsewhere in Japanese Buddhism, and is thought to be equivalent to the Mahoraga.[1]
