Purpose

Maintenance template used to mark a file as poor quality and to request that a higher quality revision be uploaded. This adds the file to Category:Poor quality files. By adding reason= as a parameter, file specifics can also be given.

Files considered poor quality include: blurry or lossy quality images (common with jpegs), small resolutions, stretched or altered images, etc. Files that are jpegs can also be marked with this template to request they be superseded with a png upload.

Usage

When adding this template, place it above the == Summary == section and provide a reason. If a better version has been uploaded, remember to also remove the template. If the file has been superseded by an entirely new upload, be sure to mark the old file for deletion using Template:Delete with the file parameter enabled.
