The Twisted Shopping District looks similar to Konishi Liquor from the Central Shopping District since it was formed from Saki Konishi's thoughts. At first, it was a large dungeon like the other dungeons in Persona 4. After Saki's death, it shrank in size, and the remaining part is the dungeon's core.[1] The location is visited automatically on April 15th. After Saki's death, Yosuke and the protagonist return to the TV World, and Teddie takes them to the Twisted Shopping District, where he had sensed someone before they disappeared from the TV World. A pair of Lying Hableries attacks them, but the protagonist is able to summon his own Persona, Izanagi, and protect the group. They enter the TV World version of the liquor store and hear the voices of Saki's father and Saki. Saki's father yells at her for working at Junes and because she is the subject of neighborhood gossip, while Saki says she never got to tell Yosuke how annoying he is. Though Saki did find him annoying, the voice the group hears is an exaggeration created by the Shadows that does not necessarily reflect her true thoughts.[2] After hearing Saki's voice, Yosuke's own Shadow manifests. Yosuke denies that his Shadow is really him, causing his Shadow to transform and attack. The protagonist fights Shadow Yosuke by himself. After, Yosuke admits his Shadow is part of him and gains a Persona of his own. This experience helps the protagonist and Yosuke figure out how Mayumi and Saki might have been killed by Shadows and realize they can save people who have been thrown in to prevent further deaths.
