Theurgies are a mechanic introduced in Persona 3 Reload. They are special joint attacks that each member of S.E.E.S. can perform with their Personas.[1]
Gameplay
For a character to use a Theurgy, their Theurgy gauge must be completely filled. The fill conditions differ between each member of S.E.E.S.:
Character | Fill condition | In-game description |
---|---|---|
Makoto Yuki | Use any skill[2] | After summoning a Persona, power within gradually enhances. |
Yukari Takeba | Use any healing-attribute skill[2] | After healing someone, her desire to prevent death strengthens. |
Junpei Iori | Land a critical hit[2] | After landing a critical hit, he becomes motivated by his own potential. |
Akihiko Sanada | Have any active buff (-kaja spells, Charge, or Concentrate) when ready to act | After strengthening himself, his fighting spirit rises.[a] |
Fuuka Yamagishi | Discover enemy weaknesses | After analyzing an enemy, her yearning for her friends' trust grows. |
Mitsuru Kirijo | Lower the enemy's stats or successfully inflict an ailment | After weakening enemies or inflicting an ailment, her will burns brighter. |
Aigis | Use any physical-attribute skill | After using physical skills, her drive to complete her mission intensifies. |
Ken Amada | Have less than 50% of maximum SP | Once his SP is less than half, his competitiveness is incited. |
Koromaru | Hit an enemy weakness | After exploiting an enemy's weakness, his will to fight grows. |
Shinjiro Aragaki | Have less then 50% of maximum HP | Once his HP is less than half, his determination ignites. |
Once their gauge is full, a character can unleash a Theurgy. Theurgies do not consume HP or SP, but will leave the Theurgy gauge completely empty after they are used.
Fuuka's Theurgy gauge cannot be seen outside of battle, but can be viewed from the enemy analysis screen. When her gauge is filled, a prompt will appear, allowing it to be used. Unlike other Theurgies, Fuuka's Theurgy can be used on any party member's turn.
