Suzuka Gongen is a Persona in Persona 4. It is the second Persona of Chie Satonaka.

Origin

Suzuka Gongen, also known as Suzuka Gozen or Tate Eboshi, is a figure from Japanese culture who came from Mt. Suzuka and, depending on the tale, takes on the role of a thief or a demon. According to Atlus, Suzuka Gongen is also known as Seoritsuhime, one of the four gods of purification that make up Haraedo-no-Okami. Seoritsuhime also has a relation with Amaterasu and in some interpretations, is the violent side of Amaterasu's spirit. While the origin of this association is unknown, Suzuka Gongen is enshrined in the Gion Festival as Seoritsuhime.

Design

Tomoe's motorcycle helmet changes into an off-road helmet when she evolves into Suzuka Gongen as Soejima thought that expressed driving on paths without defined roads, and would thus be seen as stronger.

In Persona 4, Chie starts with Tomoe. It transfigures into Suzuka Gongen upon maxing her Social Link.
