Shaytan is a Demon in the Megami Tensei franchise.
Profile
Origin
Shayṭān[a] is an Arabic word that is translated as "devil" or "demon," and in Islam the shayāṭīn are led by Iblis and tempt humans and jinn to sin. While humans are created from clay and jinn from smokeless fire, the shayāṭīn are created from hellfire. The word "shayṭān" is cognate to the Hebrew word Satan. "The Shaytan"[b] refers specifically to Iblis.

One of the Jinn of the demons in Arabian mythology.
It is said that they are born from a mixture of fire.
He is one of the great grandchildren of the King of Jinn, a group known as the Ifrit.
His personality is rather evil.
The last prophet of Islam, Muhammad, tried to lead the Shaytan down the correct path.
The name Shaytan also refers to Satan in the Christian religion.

Should the Protagonist decide to explore the Womb of Grief, he will encounter a boisterous demon named Shaytan on each sphere after The Ingress. Coming across him on the Womb of Grief's First Sphere, Shaytan exclaims in excitement at seeing how there are two humans, the Protagonist and Alex, in the dungeon now. He impatiently demands that one of them die so he can eat them and leaves.
In the Second Sphere, the Protagonist meets Shaytan again, who yells excitedly before calming down in disappointment once he realizes its the Protagonist, not Alex. Shaytan speaks about how the word of Alex's strength has spread throughout the dungeon, and he dreamily wishes he could eat her, but laments that she would likely kill him, so he settles on avoiding her, leaving the Protagonist alone afterward.
In the Third Sphere, Shaytan can be found remarking about how a human has challenged Amon to a fight and is in disbelief that anyone could survive against him.
In the Fourth Sphere, Shaytan greets the Protagonist and tells him about Alex's victory over Amon, coming to admire her strength. Beginning to feel an attraction to her, Shaytan resolves to find and meet her.
In the Fifth Sphere, Shaytan approaches the Protagonist and gushes about Alex's strength again. The demon is confused about his feelings toward the human woman and asks the Protagonist what they signify, which the Protagonist can either answer with them being affliction or affection. If the Protagonist tells him the former, Shaytan exclaims he was afraid of such an outcome, and if he is told the latter, he is in disbelief that he fell in love with a human. In either case, he wonders what he is supposed to do and leaves, severely agitated.
In the Sixth Sphere, the Protagonist stumbles upon the scene of Shaytan finally approaching Alex. Shaytan proclaims his love for her and asks her to be his mate, though Alex quickly shoots down his confession and tells him to leave before she kills him. At this, Shaytan refuses and says he would rather be killed by her hand than live not having felt its touch at all, leaving Alex incredulous. Alex briefly notes the similarities between them, both struggling towards their own goals, but warns the demon once again to leave her alone, but Shaytan refuses again and declares that as a demon, he will not run, and is adamant on tasting at least one drop of her blood. Alex readies her sword and tells him she warned him and the two begin fighting, disappearing into the dungeon as their fight progresses.
If the Protagonist completes the Womb of Grief but chooses not to help Alex change the future in Sector Horologium, Shaytan is one of the demons Alex summons to assist her fight.
