Pendragon is a Demon in the Megami Tensei franchise.

Profile

Origin

Pendragon is a byname given to the legendary British king Uther which is first known from Geoffrey of Monmouth's Historia regum Britanniae ("History of the Kings of Britain") written in the 12th century; Geoffrey claimed his book was translated from texts written in the British tongue (i.e. a Brittonic language). It derives from the Welsh word pen, meaning "head" or "chief", and dragon, which can mean either "military commander" or "dragon"; Geoffrey glosses it as meaning caput draconis (lit. "dragon's head"). According to Geoffrey, Uther gained this nickname when he saw rays from a star in the likeness of a dragon, and he then ordered the creation of two golden dragon statues after the dragon he saw.

Design

Pendragon is a recolor of Fafnir's Shin Megami Tensei design, being green instead of purple.
