Edogawa is a teacher at Gekkoukan High School introduced in Persona 3. He is one of few characters from Persona 3 to also make a cameo in Persona 4.

Gameplay
Persona 3
By visiting Edogawa when the protagonist is tired or sick, he will offer a strange concoction. If the protagonist drinks the potion, they will not be cured but they will gain points toward Courage stat. Although the Tired mechanic was removed from Persona 3 Reload, visiting Edogawa after a trip to Tartarus will still give points for Courage.

On September 9th, Edogawa gives a lecture to the visiting students from Yasogami High School. Originally, he intended to talk about Qabbalah. Inspired by the name of their school meaning "many gods high school" and this being their first meeting, he instead tells them a story of separation about Japan's creator gods, Izanagi and Izanami.

In the TV Listing, Edogawa has a program on Inaba Educational TV that explains concepts from the game such as Shadows.

- Edogawa's design is based off of Atlus staff member Shogo Isogai.[1] Despite not being credited in Persona 3, Isogai also wrote all of Edogawa's dialog.[2]
