Ebisu is a Demon in the Megami Tensei franchise.

Origin
Ebisu (
Among the many cultural interpretations surrounding Ebisu, some identify him with Izanagi and Izanami's first son Hiruko, while a few attribute him to Kotoshironushi, Sukuna-Hikona, or Hikohohodemi. Others regard him as a non-native deity, rendering えびす Ebisu in Kanji as 戎 (outsider) or 夷 (barbarian); the Japanese Government employed either Kanji in a similar fashion when referring to foreigners or people from the East.
Depending on the interpretation, Ebisu Shrines' names may have their Kanji readings changed to reflect the deities he is attributed to. For example, some shrines' names are read as
