Six months after the New Game+ ending of Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers, Yuichi Haga detects Demons in the Network of Old Amami City and gathers the Spookies. When a large swarm of Demons attempts to escape the Network into the real-world, Nemissa manifests from leftover thought-residue to protect the team. The group is repeatedly interrupted by a mysterious demon who is eventually revealed to be Evil, an entity born into the digital world when the negative emotions of the Network's users coalesced. Once Evil is defeated, the Spookies are able to permanently shut down Amami City's Network for good, and Nemissa fades away once again.
