The Death Clock is a concept in Devil Survivor.
Profile
The Death Clock is an apparition of numbers controlled by the Laplace System. The numbers appear over a person's head to any COMP users, except for those who are in a group—in which case only the designated leader will be able to see them. The number displays a value from 0 through 9, representing how many days a person has left to live according to the System's predictions. If a person is predicted to have 10 or more days left to live, nothing will appear.[1]
Normally, the Death Clock's predictions go uncontested, as the average COMP user does not have the information the Laplace System has. However, Naoya gives the protagonist's party access to a daily newsletter containing the predictions the System has made for the day, which is sufficient to interfere in them and cause their and others' Death Clocks to change their value.
