He is a being of goodness, symbolizing the sun and detoxification. Originally, a demon that devoured humans and brought evil spirits with it but when given an offering, he became a guardian deity of human beings. Barong is the symbol of goodness and a counterpart to Randa, the symbol of evil. He is believed to face Randa in battle by dipping his beard in water, creating holy water. With the good and evil together the world is balanced and to able to maintain its perfect form. It is said that Baron and Randa will continue to fight an eternal battle that will never end.

Liberation Dx2 A greatly worshiped beast god that dwells in the forests of Bali. Adorned with mirror like jewels, every 210 days a festival is held for this lion like beast. Once an evil demon that was feared, through ritual became the guardian of the people. As a symbol of good, it is fated to war with Rangda, the avatar of evil, for all eternity.
