Yo what's up my name is '''Green Giorno''' and I'm a decently large fan of ''Megami Tensei''. I got into MegaTen in 2022 by playing the ''Persona'' games in chronological order, I have now played every mainline ''Persona'', ''SMT,'' and supplementary ''Persona'' titles.

I work as the art director of graphic design at a print shop so I'm always typing things for this or that. I'd like to continue helping out more on the wiki, perhaps with graphics and logo design!? I do the same for the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure independent wiki (JoJoWiki.com) so I'd like to help out best I can.

The MegaTen game that came out closest to the day I was born was [[Shin Megami Tensei: Nine|''Shin Megami Tensei: NINE'']], which released in Japan 5 days before the day I was born.

== My Life in Megami Tensei ==
===Intro===
My experience with the MegaTen series goes back to a few years before I played any of these games for the first time. I first heard about the franchise through watching Nintendo Directs in 2013 and seeing ''SMT IV'' for the first time, thinking that it looked totally stupid, not knowing or caring what it was at all for years.

Six years later in 2019, my best friend had gotten into playing ''Persona 5'' and infodumped to me the plot of pretty much the entire game, trying to get me to play it for myself. At the time I wasn't into JRPGs at all, so his words went in one ear and out the other, and besides that, I had no PlayStation systems at the time, so I didn't care at all.

=== The ''Persona'' Journey ===
Three years later, I bought a PS4 off of another one of my friends and remembering how interesting ''Persona'' sounded from my best friend, decided that ''Persona 5'' would be one of the first games I played on this new console, and bought the base game at a GameStop for like 20$.

Interested in the game and curious as to why I should start a game series on (what I presumed to be) the fifth entry, I checked out the Megami Tensei Wiki and did some browsing on the ''Persona'' series, which sparked an interest in playing the games in chronological order. I prompted me to join a SMT Discord server and ask around for things I'd need to get started, and I eventually started playing ''[[Persona|Shin Megami Tensei: Persona]]'' in April 2022.

From there I played through all the mainline ''Persona'' games. I adore them all. While in the middle of my first playthrough of ''[[Persona 3 FES]]'', I grew immensely bored and missed the gameplay of the classic games, so I stopped playing and went back to beat the Snow Queen Quest in ''Persona 1''. Eventually, in August 2022, I beat [[Persona 5 Royal|''Persona 5 Royal'']], elated to have finished the series, and a love for the ''Megami Tensei'' series as a whole sparked in me.

At the end of the day, ''[[Persona 2: Innocent Sin]]'' is my favorite game in the main series, but I have a special love in my heart for ''Megami Ibunroku Persona''.

Following this, I had an interest in playing the mainline ''Shin Megami Tensei'' games in order and started the GBA version of ''[[Shin Megami Tensei (Game)|Shin Megami Tensei I]]'', but quickly dropped it because I got totally lost and my interest waned.

=== The ''SMT'' Journey ===
I ended up taking about a year, off, playing random other games for the rest of the year, before in April 2023 my interest in ''SMT'' was struck up again and I started and finished the first game on the PSX. This led me to beating ''[[Shin Megami Tensei II|II]]'', ''[[Shin Megami Tensei if...|If...]]'', ''[[Nocturne HD Remaster|III]]'' and ''[[Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux|Strange Journey]]'' sequentially from each other through late May, and started ''[[Shin Megami Tensei IV|IV]],'' but was unable to finish before ''The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom'' released, which caused me to drop everything else for the next two months. I didn't pick ''IV'' back up until December, realizing that I didn't want that game to be left unfinished when ''[[Persona 3 Reload]]'' came out, so I knocked it out throughout the next two months and beat it the week before ''Reload'' released. I also do intend to play ''SMT NINE'', however no English translation is available so I unfortunately had to skip it for now.

So far, my favorite ''SMT'' game is ''Strange Journey''. Eventually I would like to replay ''If...'' and ''Strange Journey'' because those are the only two games where I didn't get the ending that I wanted.

I had decided a year prior that I also wanted to tackle the ''Persona'' game sequels and canon supplementary games, being ''[[Persona 2: Eternal Punishment|Persona 2: Eternal Punishment's Tatsuya's Scenario]]'', ''[[Episode Aigis: The Answer|The Answer]]'', the ''[[Persona 4 Arena]]'' [[Persona 4 Arena Ultimax|games]], and ''[[Persona 5 Strikers]]'', and resolved to start those after beating ''Reload''. However, that would mean my ''SMT'' journey had to be put on hold one more time.

=== ''Persona'' Supplementary Games ===
I ended up beating ''Shin Megami Tensei IV'' in late January 2024, pausing my ''SMT'' journey to beat ''Reload'' and then play the supplementary games afterwards. In my time between ''IV'' and ''Reload'', I played ''Tatsuya's Scenario'' because of how short it was, which would allow me to jump right into ''The Answer'' right after beating ''Reload'', so I could have the main plot of ''[[Persona 3]]'' in my mind while playing.

''[[Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance]]'' was announced during my playthrough of ''Reload'', and I had decided at the time that I would be able to beat all the ''Persona'' supplementary games '''and''' ''[[Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse|Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse]]'' by the time that game came out, but alas that didn't end up happening. I ended up playing ''Reload'' for far too long and starting [[Megami Ibunroku Persona: Ikū no Tō Hen|''Megami Ibunroku Persona: Ikū no Tō Hen'']] while on vacation away from my PS4.

Regardless, I did end up almost sticking to the plan, beating ''Reload'', ''The Answer'', the ''Arena'' games, and then starting ''Strikers'', however I decided that I would beat ''MIP: Iku no To Hen'' before beating ''Strikers'' so that ''Strikers'' could act more as a palette cleanser instead of the ''P1'' mobile game being beaten begrudgingly after ''Strikers''. After finishing ''Strikers'' I was relieved that for the time being, my ''Persona'' journey was over, as I have now played all the ''Persona'' games and sequels that matter. I will probably also play ''[[Aegis: The First Mission|Aigis: First Mission]]'' if it gets a fan translation, but besides that, I will effectively be done with the ''Persona'' series probably until ''Persona 6'' comes out.

=== ''SMT'' Continued... ===
Once ''Strikers'' was over, I decided to finally complete my ''SMT'' journey. I played ''Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse'' in Summer, just in time for ''SMT V: Vengeance'' to release for me to play that soon after. I did get ''Vengeance'', and did start it, but I started a new semester in college and my time began to slip from me. I ended up playing the new ''Legend of Zelda'' game during this time, but other than that had almost no time for gaming. Four months later, in December 2024, I finally picked the game back up, and beat it in the first couple weeks of 2025. My mainline ''SMT'' journey was now over as well, and it was a blast. One day ''NINE'' will be translated and I can say I've beaten every single mainline game, but until then, all I have to do is wait for the next installment.

=== Future ===
As for the other games in the ''Megami Tensei'' series, I have an interest in playing the ''Devil Summoner'' games and the ''Avatar Tuner'' series, however it might be a while before I get into those. My resolve right now is to wait until ''Devil Summoner'' ''1'' gets a translation before I play those games (because I obviously want to start them in order), and I don't care how long I have to wait before that happens, if ever.

There are also the original ''Megami Tensei'' duology, and I did start that, but they seem too archaic for me to get into for now. I don't think I need to play those.

I also started ''Shin Megami Tensei VX'', a fan remake of ''SMT 1'', which I do intend to finish one day.

Games I have little to no interest in playing are the ''Devil Children'' games, ''Last Bible'', ''Majin Tensei'', and ''Devil Survivor''. I could be convinced, however -- maybe!

In order my favorite ''Persona'' games are: ''Innocent Sin'', ''Eternal Punishment'', ''Persona 5, Persona 4'', ''Persona 3'', and ''Persona 1''. Just because 1 is ranked last doesn't mean I don't love it, it's just the least best out of all of them.

My ranking for the mainline ''SMT'' games are: ''Strange Journey, Vengeance, Nocturne, IV, II, I, and If...''. If... is my least favorite MegaTen game I've played so I definitely have disdain for that game but otherwise I love the rest of the mainline game.

Yo what's up my name is '''Green Giorno''' and I'm a decently large fan of ''Megami Tensei''. I got into MegaTen in 2022 by playing the ''Persona'' games in chronological order, I have now played every mainline ''Persona'' and am working towards beating all mainline ''SMT'' games and supplementary ''Persona'' titles.

I work as the art director of graphic design at a print shop so I'm always typing things for this or that. I'd like to continue helping out more on the wiki, perhaps with graphics and logo design!? == My Life in Megami Tensei ==
===Intro===
My experience with the MegaTen series goes back to a few years before I played any of these games for the first time. I first heard about the franchise through watching Nintendo Directs in 2013 and seeing ''SMT IV'' for the first time, thinking that it looked totally stupid, not knowing or caring what it was at all for years.

Six years later in 2019, my best friend had gotten into playing ''Persona 5'' and infodumped to me the plot of pretty much the entire game, trying to get me to play it for myself. At the time I wasn't into JRPGs at all, so his words went in one ear and out the other, and besides that, I had no PlayStation systems at the time, so I didn't care at all.

=== The ''Persona'' Journey ===
Three years later, I bought a PS4 off of another one of my friends and remembering how interesting ''Persona'' sounded from my best friend, decided that ''Persona 5'' would be one of the first games I played on this new console, and bought the base game at a GameStop for like 20$.

Interested in the game and curious as to why I should start a game series on (what I presumed to be) the fifth entry, I checked out the Megami Tensei Wiki and did some browsing on the ''Persona'' series, which sparked an interest in playing the games in chronological order. I prompted me to join a SMT Discord server and ask around for things I'd need to get started, and I eventually started playing ''[[Persona|Shin Megami Tensei: Persona]]'' in April 2022.

From there I played through all the mainline ''Persona'' games. I adore them all. While in the middle of my first playthrough of ''[[Persona 3 FES]]'', I grew immensely bored and missed the gameplay of the classic games, so I stopped playing and went back to beat the Snow Queen Quest in ''Persona 1''. Eventually, in August 2022, I beat [[Persona 5 Royal|''Persona 5 Royal'']], elated to have finished the series, and a love for the ''Megami Tensei'' series as a whole sparked in me.

At the end of the day, ''[[Persona 2: Innocent Sin]]'' is my favorite game in the main series, but I have a special love in my heart for ''Megami Ibunroku Persona''.

Following this, I had an interest in playing the mainline ''Shin Megami Tensei'' games in order and started the GBA version of ''[[Shin Megami Tensei (Game)|Shin Megami Tensei I]]'', but quickly dropped it because I got totally lost and my interest waned.

=== The ''SMT'' Journey ===
I ended up taking about a year, off, playing random other games for the rest of the year, before in April 2023 my interest in ''SMT'' was struck up again and I started and finished the first game on the PSX. This led me to beating ''[[Shin Megami Tensei II|II]]'', ''[[Shin Megami Tensei if...|If...]]'', ''[[Nocturne HD Remaster|III]]'' and ''[[Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux|Strange Journey]]'' sequentially from each other through late May, and started ''[[Shin Megami Tensei IV|IV]],'' but was unable to finish before ''The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom'' released, which caused me to drop everything else for the next two months. I didn't pick ''IV'' back up until December, realizing that I didn't want that game to be left unfinished when ''[[Persona 3 Reload]]'' came out, so I knocked it out throughout the next two months and beat it the week before ''Reload'' released. I also do intend to play ''SMT NINE'', however no English translation is available so I unfortunately had to skip it for now.

So far, my favorite ''SMT'' game is ''Strange Journey''. Eventually I would like to replay ''If...'' and ''Strange Journey'' because those are the only two games where I didn't get the ending that I wanted.

I had decided a year prior that I also wanted to tackle the ''Persona'' game sequels and canon supplementary games, being ''[[Persona 2: Eternal Punishment|Persona 2: Eternal Punishment's Tatsuya's Scenario]]'', ''[[Episode Aigis: The Answer|The Answer]]'', the ''[[Persona 4 Arena]]'' [[Persona 4 Arena Ultimax|games]], and ''[[Persona 5 Strikers]]'', and resolved to start those after beating ''Reload''. However, that would mean my ''SMT'' journey had to be put on hold one more time.

I ended up beating ''Shin Megami Tensei IV'' in late January 2024, pausing my ''SMT'' journey to beat ''Reload'' and then play the supplementary games afterwards. In my time between ''IV'' and ''Reload'', I played ''Tatsuya's Scenario'' because of how short it was, which would allow me to jump right into ''The Answer'' right after beating ''Reload'', so I could have the main plot of ''[[Persona 3]]'' in my mind while playing.

''[[Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance]]'' was announced during my playthrough of ''Reload'', and I had decided at the time that I would be able to beat all the ''Persona'' supplementary games '''and''' ''[[Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse|Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse]]'' by the time that game came out, but alas that didn't end up happening. I ended up playing ''Reload'' for far too long and starting [[Megami Ibunroku Persona: Ikū no Tō Hen|''Megami Ibunroku Persona: Ikū no Tō Hen'']] while on vacation away from my PS4, and as of June 2024, I still have yet to play ''Apocalypse''.

Regardless, I ended up almost sticking to the plan, beating ''Reload'', ''The Answer'', the ''Arena'' games, and then starting ''Strikers'', however I decided that I would beat ''MIP: Iku no To Hen'' before beating ''Strikers'' so that ''Strikers'' could act more as a palette cleanser instead of the ''P1'' mobile game being beaten begrudgingly after ''Strikers''.

Currently I am still playing ''Persona 5 Strikers''.

=== Future ===
After I beat ''Strikers'', I will finally have played all the canon ''Persona'' game sequels that matter. I will probably also play ''[[Aegis: The First Mission|Aigis: First Mission]]'' if it gets a fan translation, but besides those two games, I will effectively be done with the ''Persona'' series probably until ''Persona 6'' comes out.

After that, though, I will finally complete my ''SMT'' journey and play ''Apocalypse'' and ''Vengeance''. Once that's over, who knows...

As for the other games in the ''Megami Tensei'' series, I have an interest in playing the ''Devil Summoner'' games and the ''Avatar Tuner'' series, however it might be a while before I get into those. My resolve right now is to wait until ''Devil Summoner'' ''1'' gets a translation before I play those games (because I obviously want to start them in order), and I don't care how long I have to wait before that happens, if ever.

Games I have little to no interest in playing are the ''Devil Children'' games, ''Last Bible'', ''Majin Tensei'', and ''Devil Survivor''. I could be convinced, however -- maybe!

In order my favorite ''Persona'' games are: ''Innocent Sin'', ''Eternal Punishment'', ''Persona 5, Persona 4'', ''Persona 3'', and ''Persona 1''. Just because 1 is ranked last doesn't mean I don't love it, it's just the least best out of all of them.

My ranking for the mainline ''SMT'' games are: ''Strange Journey, Nocturne, IV, II, I, and If...''. If... is my least favorite MegaTen game I've played so I definitely have disdain for that game but otherwise I love the rest of the mainline game.

As for the other games in the ''Megami Tensei'' series, I have an interest in playing the ''Devil Summoner'' games and the ''Avatar Tuner'' series, however it might be a while before I get into those. My resolve right now is to wait until ''Devil Summoner'' ''1'' gets a translation before I play those games (because I obviously want to start them in order), and I don't care how long I have to wait before that happens, if ever.

Games I have little to no interest in playing are the ''Devil Children'' games, ''Last Bible'', ''Majin Tensei'', and ''Devil Survivor''. I could be convinced, however -- maybe!

In order my favorite ''Persona'' games are: ''Innocent Sin'', ''Eternal Punishment'', ''Persona 5, Persona 4'', ''Persona 3'', and ''Persona 1''. Just because 1 is ranked last doesn't mean I don't love it, it's just the least best out of all of them.

My ranking for the mainline ''SMT'' games are: ''Strange Journey, Nocturne, IV, II, I, and If...''. If... is my least favorite MegaTen game I've played so I definitely have disdain for that game but otherwise I love the rest of the mainline game.

==Profile==
===History===
Maria is a Demon who became trapped in a tower at some unknown point in time. She eventually became bored out of her mind there, and resolved to make her way to the human world, however due to the fact that she is unable to operate the device that can transport her there alone, she traps [[Protagonist (Megami Ibunroku Persona)|the protagonist]] and his friends in her tower and tricks them into collecting the seven orbs for her to operate the device.

She initially appears to them as a lost little girl being attacked by Demons, when she is saved by the protagonist. She joins them on their journey up the 100-floor tower, eventually revealing to them that she is malevolent on the 99th floor. Once they've reached the top, she reveals her true intentions, and that she used the group to enter the human world and destroy it.

She engages in battle with the group, revealing her true form as the Demon known as The Destroyer, however she is destroyed, and in her final moments she calls out that all she wanted to do was go to the human world.

===Design===
Maria's human form is that of a little girl with pale skin and red eyes with blue hair wearing a pink dress. As The Destroyer, she transforms into a large demon, with her human form coming out from the middle of an amalgam of other demon's faces that make up her body.
